The Baker Roasts

Sometimes you can’t just eat baked goods for dinner. Sometimes, something a bit more substantial is required to fortify oneself. Particularly if you, like the baker, are planning to make your own dessert.

For what won’t be the last time, the Baker remembered this fact and decided to cook herself dinner. Preheating the oven to 420 F, the Baker prepared for some savory food to line her stomach before the inevitable addition of sweets.

She chopped a head of cauliflower, isolating the florets and cutting it up so that the pieces were all of approximately equal bite sized portions. She then painted them with olive oil and measured out a mix of Moroccan spices which she used to top them. Then she did the same with a bunch of mushrooms.

The Baker then spread both types of veggies across a baking sheet and let them roast in the oven for 20 minutes before pulling them out and serving them to herself. Unsurprisingly, one of the Baker’s usual, cinnamon filled desserts followed.
